Kyiv needs the unity of Europe and the United States. It is hard to imagine supporting Ukraine without American assistance. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a conversation with journalists.

"Especially from the very beginning of the next year we need very much unity between the United States and EU, and countries of Europe. It's very important, we need this unity to achieve peace. I think, only together the United States and Europe can really stop Putin and save Ukraine. It's very difficult to support Ukraine without American help," President Zelenskyy said.

According to Zelenskyy, he will discuss the above issue with the 47th President of the United States, Donald Trump, when the latter takes over the White House.

US assistance to Ukraine

The United States has been providing Ukraine with comprehensive support during the war, including military, financial, and humanitarian assistance. Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the United States has provided military assistance worth over a hundred billion dollars.

In addition to military support, the United States has provided funds to stabilize Ukraine's economy and meet the social needs of the population.
