Movie star Ryan Gosling and Barbie's composers Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt dropped Ken The EP album that includes the original record-breaking“I’m Just Ken” song from the movie as well as three new versions, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
One of the song's versions is dedicated to upcoming Christmas festivities and is named "I’m Just Ken (Merry Kristmas Barbie)," the others are "I’m Just Ken (In My Feelings Acoustic)," and "I’m Just Ken (Purple Disco Machine Remix)."
To add to the holiday cheer, a performance video for the festive remix has been released, showing Gosling and the duo.

Ronson and Wyatt discussed the process behind creating the song for Gerwig's film. They revealed that initially, Gerwig had tasked them with creating two songs, namely "Dance the Night" and a Ken song. At first, it was not originally scripted for Ryan to sing. He said, "It was just like, ‘If we’re going to have Barbie’s perfect day song, we need a song from Ken’s point of view."
The project evolved, and they ultimately took on the challenge of composing the entire film score, incorporating Gosling's vocals into the soundtrack. Ronson emphasized the limited time they had to record "I’m Just Ken" with the actor but was astonished by the impactful experience of witnessing Gosling "performing the song in the studio with, like, every inch of his body."
After the success of Greta Gerwig's summer blockbuster, "I’m Just Ken" climbed to the top 5 on Billboard’s Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart, collecting over 100 million global streams. Barbie The Album received a remarkable 11 Grammy Award nominations, while "I’m Just Ken" earned a Golden Globe and Critics Choice Award nomination.
