Ukraine and Germany reached agreements worth €1.2 billion after the Ramstein meeting on December 16. The deals include the purchase of Ukrainian drones and funding the production of 200 Bohdana self-propelled howitzers by Germany, according to Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal.
Shmyhal noted that the total value of contracts with Germany exceeds €1.2 billion. The agreements include:
-
Germany signed a contract for long-term supplies of Patriot air defense system parts to Ukraine;
-
Berlin plans to purchase Ukrainian drones worth €200 million;
-
Ukraine and Germany are launching the largest artillery project: Berlin will fund the production of 200 Bohdana self-propelled howitzers for €750 million on the new Zetros chassis;
-
Joint production of new Ukrainian Linza drones will begin;
-
Contracts were also signed for the supply of advanced electronic warfare systems at the tactical level.
Thanks to the agreements between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Germany will allocate €11.5 billion to support Ukraine next year," Shmyhal said.
Following the Ramstein meeting, Shmyhal assured that Ukraine would continue to receive military aid from its allies in 2026. 15 countries have made specific commitments. Ukraine's defense needs for 2026 are estimated at $120 billion, half of which it expects to receive from partners.
Additionally, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius confirmed that Germany has delivered two more Patriot systems to Ukrainian forces, as previously announced in August.
