Germany has not yet approved its state budget for 2025, making any reports of changes in German support for Ukraine inaccurate, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

"Reports that Germany is allegedly stopping military aid to Ukraine are incorrect. This is the same manipulation as previous reports about halving aid for the next year," the Ukrainian ministry said.

They emphasized that the budget process is currently ongoing in Germany, and Ukraine is closely monitoring it. The budget is expected to be approved in November, at which point the actual level of support for Ukraine for the next year will be known.

"Currently, as last year, the government has planned a certain amount of aid for Ukraine in the draft budget. This amount is similar to what was planned at this stage of the budget process last year. Last year, this amount increased during the parliamentary stage of the budget approval in the fall," the MFA noted.

Meanwhile, Ukraine continues to work with German partners to maintain and strengthen support and is grateful to Berlin for remaining a leader among European countries in terms of support.

"German aid has already saved thousands of lives in Ukraine and is strategically important for protecting lives in the future. We expect the German government to find additional funding for the needs of Ukraine's defense forces this year," the MFA added.

Earlier today, the German agency Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported on alleged plans by the German government to limit additional funding for Ukraine. However, this does not affect the aid already included in the German state budget.
