Germany may help Ukraine build long-range missiles — Bild

The German government plans to allocate funds for the Ukrainian defense industry to independently develop cruise missiles with a range of up to 2,500 kilometers, Bild reports.
According to Bild, Chancellor Friedrich Merz may still help Ukraine without fulfilling his promise regarding Taurus. Bild says the German government plans to allocate millions to Kyiv for the independent development and mass production of cruise missiles with a range of up to 2,500 kilometers.
It is noted that Ukraine is already studying such missiles.
"The problem is that the Ukrainian defense industry is subject to daily air and missile attacks from Russia. Weapons factories in Ukraine are among the main targets of Russian attacks," Bild adds.
Taurus from Germany
Earlier, German media reported that Germany had allegedly decided to classify arms supplies to Ukraine. Earlier, all of Berlin's support was open and posted on the Internet.
Merz also previously claimed that he was ready to approve the transfer of Taurus long-range cruise missiles to Ukraine.
As noted by Ukraine's Ambassador to Brazil, Andrii Melnyk, the delivery of the missiles will be the first test for Merz.
