German companies to help Russia to reconstruct Mariupol - Tagesschau
German companies are indirectly involved in the reconstruction of the new Mariupol. The Russian city, built by the Kremlin for Russians, will feature construction sites and multi-story buildings throughout, according to Tagesschau.
"The reconstruction of the occupied city is extremely important. In annual reports, on company websites, in photos, and videos, there is evidence that German companies also play an important role in the reconstruction of Mariupol," the statement said.
The investigation mentions the role of a subsidiary of the Knauf corporation, which, according to Tagesschau, operates exclusively in the Russian market and supplies building materials for projects commissioned by the Russian Ministry of Defense. In addition, the participation of the company from Münsterland in North Rhine-Westphalia, WKB Systems, in the production of equipment for the construction of porous concrete, which is also used in Mariupol, is considered.
It is noted that the main shareholder of WKB Systems is Russian businessman Vyktor Budarin. The company supplies its products to his Russian firm. Moreover, none of these companies are under sanctions.
The exact number of civilians killed during the storming of Mariupol is not established. According to burial information, the number could exceed 10,000 people. The city was destroyed. Currently, Russian media are actively covering the process of recovery and construction in Mariupol.
Occupiers in the Zaporizhzhia region have not been paying salaries to budget workers for months. Rightfully outraged people are being referred to the prosecutor's office and the investigative committee.
Additionally, there are reports of mass cases of cholera in Mariupol. According to the advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, Petro Andryushenko, cases of illness are being recorded among children. However, the occupation authorities are trying to quickly cover it up with an undeclared quarantine.
