Gas storage facility catches fire in Lviv region after Russian strikes

On the night of October 5, the Russian army struck Lviv and the surrounding region. As a result of the shelling, a fire broke out at a gas storage facility, according to the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to the prosecutor’s office, strikes on industrial and energy facilities were recorded in Lviv and the region. Warehouses, production facilities, garages, a service station, and energy infrastructure facilities were damaged.

Earlier, the prosecutor’s office reported that as a result of an enemy strike in the village of Lapaiivka, a residential building was destroyed. A family of four, including a 15-year-old girl, died under the rubble.
Massive attack on Ukraine
On the night of Saturday, October 5, the Russian Federation carried out a large-scale combined attack on Ukraine. The occupiers used drones, cruise missiles, and “Kinzhal” missiles. Lviv and the region were hit hardest — around 04:30, drones struck the city, followed by missiles launched from the Black Sea.
According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the occupiers launched more than 50 missiles and about 500 strike drones, including cruise missiles, Shaheds, and Kinzhal missiles.
