France to participate in peace conference in Switzerland - Macron
French President Emmanuel Macron has confirmed France's participation in a peace conference set to take place in Switzerland on June 15 and 16, according to RTS.
"We will participate in the meeting proposed by Switzerland with all the countries that want a lasting peace, in other words, one that respects international law and rules," he said.
Macron added that the peace conference is a very good initiative that will bring together all countries to prepare the conditions for peace.
Global peace summit
Back in November 2022, Zelenskyy proposed a peace formula to halt Russia's full-scale invasion. By January 2024, Ukraine and Switzerland had begun preparations for the Global Peace Summit, where the proposed formula will be discussed.
As reported by the Head of the Presidential Office Andrii Yermak, Russia may be invited to the conference, but only for the second summit. According to some media reports, White House Chief Joe Biden may also participate in the summit.
The summit is expected to take place from June 15 to 16.
