FPV drone attack on Nikopol: Rescuers injured in Russian strike

On the evening of July 17, Russian forces struck the city of Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region with an FPV drone. While emergency responders were working to manage the aftermath, Russia launched a second attack, this time targeting the rescuers, according to the Ukrainian State Emergency Service (DSNS) Telegram channel.
“As a result of the enemy’s FPV drone strike on Nikopol, a cargo truck caught fire in the evening. During the response efforts, the enemy carried out a repeated attack on the rescuers using a drone,” the report stated.
The emergency services confirmed that three DSNS personnel were injured and all were hospitalized.
In addition, two civilians, a man and a woman, were injured in the attack.
“The fire was extinguished over an area of 6 square meters,” the State Emergency Service (DSNS) reported.
