Ukraine will sign its first contracts for the export of technologies this summer. They include the production of Ukrainian weapons abroad, said President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a meeting with journalists.

“Next, we launched the Build with Ukraine program, and in the summer we will sign relevant agreements to begin exporting our technologies abroad in the format of opening production lines in European countries and, possibly, not only in Europe — in those countries that are helping us, that are financing the production of drones and beginning to finance the production of missiles in Ukraine,” he explained.

According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine will provide the relevant technologies and produce weapons in other countries “for us and for them.”

“We are talking about military technologies — exclusively about drones of various types, about missiles and, possibly, artillery. Agreements already exist,” the president added.

Zelenskyy emphasized that, obviously, Ukrainian technologies cannot be transferred to the Russians. So, Ukraine will not cooperate with states that sympathize with Moscow.

Weapons production in Ukraine

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukraine has significantly increased domestic weapons production. Ukrainian companies are developing and manufacturing new drones, missiles, unmanned and robotic systems.

At the beginning of the year, the government stated that Ukraine plans to produce 3,000 missiles and 30,000 long-range drones this year.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also previously reported that the Ukrainian missiles Palianytsia, Peklo, and Ruta are already in use and have seen success. According to him, Ukrainian ballistic missiles are still in progress.

Recently, Zelenskyy also commented on whether the ballistic missile Sapsan had gone into serial production. He emphasized that work is underway to enable mass production.
