After the explosions on April 22, the fire engulfed the 51st arsenal of the Russian GRAU in the Vladimir region almost completely. Secondary detonation is underway, according to Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation.

“The 51st arsenal of the GRAU has burned down well, secondary detonation, the fire has engulfed it almost completely,” he said.

Explosions at the 51st arsenal

On April 22, explosions occurred at the 51st GRAU arsenal in the Vladimir region. Locals reported seeing a fireball and a column of smoke.

Loud sounds of explosions were heard in the village of Barsovo. The 51st arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate (GRAU) of the Russian Ministry of Defense is located near this village.

Because of the explosions and the fire that started, evacuations were announced from the nearest settlements. Locals said that shortly before the explosions, they heard the sounds of drones.

The arsenal stored about 105,000 tons of weapons and missiles of various types. As RBC-Ukraine previously reported, it was one of the most difficult targets to hit, given the way it was guarded.

The Russians, having decided not to admit to the drone attack on the arsenal, invented their own reason for the explosions at a large weapons warehouse.
