Fire broke out in refinery area in Russian Tuapse: Drone strike reported
In the Russian town of Tuapse, near the oil refinery and oil depot, a fire has broken out, with eyewitnesses reporting a drone attack, according to Meduza Telegram page.
It is reported that the outbreak occurred near the Rosneft plant. According to preliminary data, the cause of several explosions and subsequent fire was the impact of an unknown drone.
According to sources, the area of the fire is approximately 200 square meters. The fire has engulfed one of the columns of the fuel processing facility, and firefighters are currently trying to contain the outbreak.
In the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation, it was reported that, according to preliminary information, no one was injured as a result of the fire.
Attacks on oil facilities in Russia
On the night of January 18, Russians reported an attempted attack on an oil depot in St. Petersburg. Sources from RBC-Ukraine in the special services confirmed the attack, stating that it was a special operation by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, which was successful.
This pertains to an attack on the oil and gas company Peterburgsky NefteTerminal. It is the largest Russian terminal for transshipment of oil products in the Baltic region.
Additionally, on January 19, a powerful fire broke out at an oil depot in Klintsy, Bryansk Oblast. Russians claimed it was a drone attack.
