Russian drones attacked the Khmelnytskyi region overnight on January 18, sparking a fire at one of the enterprises, according to the Head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration, Serhii Tiurin.

According to him, Russian forces attacked Khmelnytskyi region overnight using aerial assets.

"Air defense forces were engaged. There were shoot-downs. More details will follow. As a result of the Russian attack, a fire broke out at one of the enterprises in Khmelnytskyi district. The blaze was extinguished by State Emergency Service units," Tiurin said.

The official added that, as of now, there have been no reports of fatalities or injuries.

The Air Force of Ukraine repeatedly warned overnight about the threat of Russian drones in the region. In particular, UAVs were reported heading toward Starokostiantyniv and Sataniv, with hostile targets moving from the Vinnytsia region and from the east toward Khmelnytskyi.

Local channels published videos in which eyewitnesses captured explosions during the attack. It remains unclear where exactly the impacts occurred or whether damage, including the fire at the enterprise, was caused by direct hits or falling debris.
