Finland will provide Ukraine with its 30th military aid package, worth tens of millions of euros, according to the Finnish Ministry of Defense.

The decision was made by Finnish President Alexander Stubb on October 17, following the government's proposal. The total value of the new package is estimated at around 52 million euros.

The aid will mainly consist of new orders from Finnish defense companies. Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen emphasized that support for Ukraine remains key to Europe’s security.

"The future of a free and safe Europe will be decided in Ukraine – it requires persistence and backbone from all the allies," Häkkänen said.

The Ministry of Defense also noted that, for security reasons and to ensure delivery to its destination, Finland is not disclosing details about the contents of the aid, its transportation method, or the delivery schedule.

Ukraine support program

In spring 2025, the Finnish Ministry of Defense launched a program to support Ukraine, which involves purchasing defense products from Finnish companies for subsequent transfer to Ukraine.

The program aims to meet Ukraine's critical needs and ensure the suitability and continuity of defense supplies, including by supporting national production capacities.

The Ministry noted that when deciding on the next aid package, it considered Ukraine's current needs and the capabilities of the Finnish Armed Forces.

Finland has also announced its intention to join NATO's initiative to purchase US weapons for Ukraine. A new military aid package is expected soon.

Earlier, Finnish President Alexander Stubb called on Europe to choose between Putin and democracy.
