Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk commented on Ukraine's political crisis amid chaos in peace negotiations in his post on X.

"Orbán (Hungarian Prime Minister - ed.) visits Putin, Nawrocki (Polish President - ed.) visits Orbán. Chaos in the talks under Witkoff's plan (US special envoy - ed.) and a political crisis in Kyiv. A fatal combination," wrote the Polish Prime Minister.

Yermak resigns

The political crisis in Ukraine began with a corruption scandal. NABU uncovered a scheme in which Energoatom contractors were forced to pay kickbacks.

The Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian Parliament - ed.) dismissed Justice Minister Herman Halushchenko and Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk, who appeared in recordings of conversations between members of the criminal group.

Former Deputy Prime Minister for National Unity Oleksii Chernyshov was also notified of suspicion, as investigators claim he visited the office where money laundering took place.

NABU's released tapes could also involve Andriy Yermak, head of Ukraine's Presidential Office. On 28 November, law enforcement conducted searches at his residence.

After this, Yermak submitted his resignation, which President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has already signed.

This crisis comes amid active discussions over the US peace plan. US Army Minister Dan Driscoll is expected to visit Kyiv this weekend.
