Explosions shake Kharkiv amid rising Shahed drone danger

In the early hours of June 30, explosions were heard in Kharkiv amid the launch of Shahed-type attack drones by Russia, according to the city mayor, Ihor Terekhov, and the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.
At first, local media reported explosions in the city. Later, Terekhov wrote that the sounds came from outside the city limits.
Meanwhile, Syniehubov stated that explosions were heard in various districts of Kharkiv.
“In some areas of Kharkiv, explosions can be heard. Information is being verified,” he reported.
Syniehubov warned that the threat of strike drones to the city remains. He urged residents to stay in safe places until further notice.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Air Force confirmed that Shahed drones were detected flying over the Kharkiv region.
