A series of explosions were heard in Kropyvnytskyi today, May 22, during an air raid alert, according to Suspilne and Ukraine’s Air Force.

Shortly before the blasts occurred, Ukraine’s Air Force had warned of a potential Russian ballistic missile strike from the south.

Around 2:30 p.m., the Air Force reported a fast-moving target detected heading toward Kropyvnytskyi.

Just minutes later, local residents confirmed hearing several explosions in the city.

At the moment, Ukraine's Air Force continues to monitor increased activity from enemy tactical aircraft in the northern and eastern directions.

"There is a threat of air-launched weapons for the frontline regions!" the Air Force warned.
