During the night of July 17, explosions were heard in the cities of Dnipro and Samar. The military had issued warnings about the potential use of drones, according to Suspilne Novyny,

"Explosions have been heard in Dnipro and Samar, Suspilne correspondents reported," the message read at 12:10 a.m. Kyiv time.

A few minutes later, additional explosions were heard in Dnipro.

Earlier, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had warned that enemy drones were heading toward Dnipro from the east and north.

As of now, there have been no official comments regarding whether the drones were shot down or hit their targets.

Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Lysak, confirmed that it is loud in the regional center.

“Dnipro. Loud. Stay in shelters. The air raid alert is ongoing,” he wrote.

Attacks on Dnipro

Russian forces regularly attack Dnipro with drones, and occasionally with missiles as well.

In particular, on the night of July 15, the enemy also launched a drone attack on Dnipro and the surrounding region. As a result of the strike, an apartment building, six private homes, and a gymnasium were damaged.
