Explosions were heard in Kharkiv on Wednesday, October 18. Russian forces are currently shelling the city, and electricity problems appeared.

During the preparation of the material, sources such as the Telegram channel of the police of the Kharkiv region, the Telegram channel of the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleh Synegubov, and the Telegram channel of the Mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov were used.

"Attention! Explosions are heard in the city. Follow safety rules. Take cover. Report all hits to the city's infrastructure and the injured to the hotline 102," the regional police message says.

As the head of the Regional State Administration noted, the occupiers are striking at Kharkiv and the region.

"Take cover!" - he wrote.

Power problems in the city

According to the Mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, Kharkiv is being shelled again.

"There are certain problems with electricity, but services immediately started working to stabilize the voltage after the blows," he noted.

Blows in one of the districts

According to Terekhov, a strike in one of the districts, presumably in the Industrial District, has already been recorded.

A bit later, the head of the Regional State Administration reported that the occupiers had struck the Industrial District of Kharkiv.

"The type of weapon is being determined. There is damage to the power grid and possible power outages. Emergency service specialists are working on the spot to document the consequences of another Russian terror," Synegubov noted.

Shelling of Zaporizhzhia and Dniprovskyi district

Early in the morning, the occupiers targeted a high-rise building in Zaporizhzhia. As a result of the attack, two people were killed, and three others were injured. More details can be found in the material by RBK-Ukraine.

In addition, after the explosions in Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro a little later in the morning, it became clear that Russian forces shelled the Dniprovskyi district of the Dnipropetrovsk region. The enemy attacked private houses in the village of Obukhivka - one person was killed, and four others were injured.
