Critically important railway infrastructure was blown up in the Russian Novosibirsk and Bryansk regions, disrupting train traffic used to supply the Russian army, according to sources.

According to the outlet’s interlocutors, an explosion occurred on the afternoon of November 20 on the railway tracks in the settlement of Baryshovo in Russia’s Novosibirsk region, on the West Siberian Railway. The blast destroyed a section of the track, making it impossible for freight trains to pass and disrupting the enemy’s logistics routes.

Meanwhile, on November 28, an explosion occurred in the city of Unecha in the Bryansk region. At the Unecha junction station of the Moscow Railway (Bryansk branch) on the Bryansk–Gomel line — a logistical route used to transfer fuel and military equipment to Belarus — a fuel transport rail facility was damaged.

According to the sources, the blast destroyed at least two fuel tank cars and also damaged the railway track.

Russian security services attempted to conceal the consequences of these acts of sabotage, but local residents are already actively discussing their impressions of the explosions on social media.

Sabotage in Russia

On October 21, RBC-Ukraine’s sources reported that an explosion occurred on the railway between Pskov and St. Petersburg, damaging a section of the tracks and disrupting train traffic.

The incident caused a partial fire in a freight train, and Russian security services were working at the scene. There were also reports of a temporary shutdown of mobile internet in the area of the blast.

The explosion halted traffic along this route and effectively paralyzed the logistics of the Russian military.
