On the night of Monday, October 21, an explosion occurred on the Russian railway. As a result of the railway tracks being blown up on one of the sections, the Pskov–Saint Petersburg connection was paralyzed, disrupting Russian military logistics, according to the sources in Ukrainian intelligence.
A source of the outlet reported that the explosion caused a partial fire on the rolling stock of a freight train.
Special services of the aggressor country immediately rushed to the scene. In addition, the mobile internet was not working in the area of the incident.
Sources in Ukrainian military intelligence (HUR) stated that as a result of the explosion on the Russian railway, the logistics and movement along the railways have been halted. This will negatively affect the supply of the Russian occupation army.
Explosions on the Russian railway
Recently, agents of Atesh carried out a successful sabotage operation on Russian railway infrastructure in the Novocherkassk area of the Rostov region.
As a result, the schedule of trains carrying military equipment and personnel was disrupted, triggering a chain reaction of delays in critical supplies for the Russian army.
Earlier, partisans staged an explosion in the Leningrad region, causing a train transporting military cargo to derail. This sabotage paralyzed the railway connection between Saint Petersburg and Pskov.
RBC-Ukraine previously reported that Ukrainian military intelligence (HUR) and the Special Operations Forces (SSO) conducted a unique operation to halt Russian railway traffic along the Oryol–Kursk direction.
During an attempt to clear explosives on the Maloarkhangelsk–Glazunovka section, an engineering team of a Russian National Guard special unit was blown up. Two Rosgvardiya servicemen were killed, and another lost both legs.
