Explosions heard in Ukraine's Kharkiv and Sumy: What is known

Late in the evening on June 19, explosions were heard in Kharkiv and Sumy. At that time, the enemy was attacking Ukrainian cities with drones and missiles, according to Suspilne Novyny, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, and Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov.
Kharkiv
Explosions in Kharkiv were heard at approximately 11:10 PM Kyiv time. At the same time, the Ukrainian Air Forces reported that drones were flying toward the city. Terekhov confirmed this information.
"There are explosions in Kharkiv — preliminarily in the Kyivskyi district. Enemy UAVs are still over the city. Be careful," he wrote.
Meanwhile, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration also reported that the city was under drone attack, and explosions were heard.

At the same time, Syniehubov wrote that, according to preliminary data, the enemy struck the Kyivskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts of Kharkiv with strike drones.

The head of the Regional Military Administration reported that another explosion occurred in the city. Drones continue to be detected over the city and region.
"One of the strikes occurred near multi-story residential buildings; the consequences are being clarified. No information about casualties has been received so far," Mayor Terekhov writes.

Syniehubov reports that a drone strike was recorded in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv. At the same time, Terekhov writes that a fire has been detected at the site of one of the strikes in this district.

Sumy
"An explosion was heard in Sumy," Suspilne wrote at 11:10 PM.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Air Forces warned citizens about the threat of ballistic missiles, and a few minutes later reported a high-speed target flying toward the city. Additionally, drones were detected.
Attacks on frontline cities
Kharkiv and Sumy are regularly subjected to attacks using drones, missiles, and aerial bombs.
For example, on the evening of June 18, residents of Sumy heard explosions. It later became known that, preliminarily, Russian forces shelled the outskirts of the community with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
We also reported that on the night of June 7, Russian forces struck a civilian enterprise in Kharkiv. The fire was extinguished only on the 12th day — that is, today, June 19. It is known that six bodies of deceased civilians were recovered from the rubble.
