Explosion heard in Odesa

There was a loud explosion heard in Odesa today late in the evening, August 24th. A state of air alarm has been declared in the city and the region, according to "Dumskaia".
Earlier, the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Oleh Kiper, urged not to remove or publish the work of air defense forces.
"Residents of the region and guests of the region, please stay in shelters until the end of the alarm. Do not remove or publish the work of our air defense forces," said the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that the explosion in the sky over Odesa was the result of the work of Ukrainian air defense forces.
Shelling of the Odesa region
In recent weeks, after Russia withdrew from the "grain initiative," it has been actively shelling Ukrainian ports and grain infrastructure. Most of the port infrastructure objects are located in the Odesa region.
For example, on August 16, the Russians once again attacked the south of Ukraine using Shahed kamikaze drones. Air defense forces shot down 13 enemy drones over the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions. However, there were also hits.
In particular, one of the drones struck the Reni port, resulting in a fire and damage there.
