Ukrainian drones reached Chechnya. On Thursday, November 27, explosions were heard on the territory of the Russian National Guard’s Akhmat-Sever (Akhmat-North) military compound in Grozny, according to the Russian Telegram channel Astra.
It is reported that strike drones hit one of the buildings on the grounds of the Russian National Guard’s Akhmat-Sever regiment base in Grozny’s Baysangurovskiy district.
It is noted that activists from the opposition movement NIYSO allegedly have photos of the aftermath, but are not publishing them "for security reasons."
Today in Chechnya, authorities warned about the threat of a drone strike and possible disruptions to mobile internet. On November 27, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported two Ukrainian drone attacks — at night, when Russians claimed to have counted 118 UAVs, and again during the day.
As of now, no information about explosions in Grozny has been released by the Ukrainian command or the military. The mayor of the Russian city has also not commented on the fire at the military compound, footage of which has been circulating online.
Night attack on Russia
On the night of Thursday, November 27, explosions were heard in Novokuybyshevsk, Samara region. The likely target of the drones was the local oil refinery.
After analysing the video, the Telegram channel Astra determined that the flashes following the attack on Novokuybyshevsk occurred directly over the local refinery. The Russian outlet notes that the published footage shows at least three flashes.
