Popular tech blogger MKBHD (Marques Brownlee) released the results of the 2025 Smartphone Awards. This year, Apple devices won four out of ten possible awards, with one of them being explicitly negative, according to 9to5Mac.

The annual MKBHD awards traditionally spark lively debates among fans of different brands, but they remain a clear snapshot of the current smartphone market, where differences between devices are becoming increasingly subtle.

Commenting on the choice of the iPhone 17 as Phone of the Year, Marques Brownlee noted that this model is the most balanced. According to him, the smartphone ''leveled up to be the most complete and actually kind of a great deal,'' especially after the introduction of the 120Hz display and updates to the processor and camera.
