Following Austria's victory at Eurovision 2025, the country is preparing to host the next edition of the song contest. While there is no official decision yet on the host city, several cities have already expressed interest. Which cities and arenas in Austria may welcome Eurovision fans, and who currently has the strongest bid?
Where Eurovision 2026 might take place
Vienna – the favorite with experience
- Arena: Wiener Stadthalle
- Capacity: up to 16,000 spectators
- Advantages: Vienna has already hosted Eurovision twice (1967, 2015), boasts well-developed infrastructure, an international airport, and extensive experience organizing large-scale events.

Vienna's mayor has expressed interest in hosting the contest, and JJ himself supports the idea of holding Eurovision in the capital.
Innsbruck – the mountain alternative
- Arena: Olympiahalle (part of the OlympiaWorld complex)
- Capacity: up to 12,000 spectators
- Advantages: Innsbruck has hosted major sporting events, including the Winter Olympic Games.

Graz – modern infrastructure

- Capacity: up to 11,000 spectators
- Advantages: Graz offers a modern arena and has experience with international events.

The final decision on the Eurovision 2026 host city is expected in the coming months.
Vienna is currently the leading contender, taking into account its experience, infrastructure, and official support.
The Grand Final of Eurovision 2025 was held in Basel, Switzerland, on May 17. The winner is JJ from Austria with the song "Wasted Love", earning 436 points. Ukraine finished in 9th place this year.
