The European Commission intends to unfreeze a tranche of 13 billion euros allocated to Hungary by November, reports the Financial Times.
Such an amount was previously frozen due to Budapest's stance on blocking assistance to Ukraine.
The magazine notes that Brussels aimed to change the Hungarian government's position regarding financial aid to Ukraine.

Previously, Hungary stated that Ukraine would receive something from the European Union's budget when Budapest was paid from European funds.
Recently, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán also declared that the country would not support Ukraine in any international relations issue until the language rights of ethnic Hungarians living there are restored.
