Europe's future does not depend on US elections - Polish PM
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has said that the future of Europe depends on the countries of the continent themselves, not on the US elections. According to him, the era of geopolitical outsourcing has come to an end.
"Harris or Trump? Some claim that the future of Europe depends on the American elections, while it depends first and foremost on us. On condition Europe finally grows up and believes in its own strength. Whatever the outcome, the era of geopolitical outsourcing is over," he wrote on X.
Elections in US
The US presidential election will take place next Tuesday, November 5. The main candidates for the presidency are Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump. It is difficult to predict who will become president, as polls show almost equal chances of winning. In particular, Reuters wrote that Harris has almost lost her advantage over Trump.
According to Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, Europe will cease to be a priority for the United States after the presidential election. And this will be the case regardless of who wins.
In particular, the election issue also affects the Russian-Ukrainian war. Recently, Bloomberg wrote that aid to Ukraine could be reduced regardless of who is in the White House.
