EU to impose 13th round of sanctions against Russia tomorrow
The European Union will adopt the 13th package of sanctions against Russia for its war in Ukraine tomorrow, February 25, according to the EU Ambassador to Ukraine, Katarina Mathernova.
She notes that the European Union will continue to support Ukraine as much as necessary, and with whatever is needed.
"We support you financially and politically. We support you on all ten points of the Peace Formula. We are introducing new sanctions – a new package will be symbolically adopted tomorrow. And we are also contributing to the supply of military aid," the EU Ambassador states.
Mathernova also expresses admiration for the resilience, courage, and inventiveness of Ukrainians.
New EU sanctions against Russia
Yesterday, February 21, it became known that ambassadors of European Union countries had adopted the 13th package of sanctions against Russia.
According to the EU's chief diplomat, nearly 200 more individuals and companies have been added to the sanctions lists. The sanctions are also aimed at blocking loopholes for circumventing sanctions.
Media also reported that the European Union, in its 13th package of sanctions against Russia, imposed restrictions on Russians and Belarusians involved in the deportation of Ukrainian children.
Euractiv reported that within the framework of the latest package of sanctions, the European Union imposed restrictions against the North Korean Minister of Defense, Kang Sung Nam, for supplying Russia with ballistic missiles.
