Next Thursday, March 27, a summit of leaders from Kyiv's allied countries will take place in Paris, with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy participating, according to French President Emmanuel Macron, citing BFMTV and Bloomberg.

After the European Council meeting in Brussels, President Macron announced that next Thursday, they would hold a Coalition of the Willing summit.

He added that during the meeting, he wanted to ensure that there would be a renewed and clear commitment, and perhaps a bit more specificity, regarding short-term support for Ukraine.

As reported earlier, according to Bloomberg, leaders from EU countries Germany, Italy, and Poland, as well as from the UK and Canada, which are not part of the EU, would meet in Paris to discuss further support for Ukraine.

Military aid for Ukraine

Recently, European media reported that the EU countries are preparing a military aid fund for Ukraine, ranging from 20 to 40 billion euros.

During the European Council meeting on March 20, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas proposed providing Ukraine with ammunition worth 5 billion euros.

Brussels plans to establish a 40-billion-euro military aid fund for Ukraine without Hungary, in order to overcome its veto.

At the same time, Hungary’s Minister for EU Affairs, János Bóka, stated that they see Ukraine as a buffer zone between Russia and Europe.
