Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has received a response from EU leaders regarding his reluctance to recognize Russia as a threat to Europe. His position was commented on by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, according to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.

During the European Political Community summit, Orbán refused to acknowledge Russia as the greatest threat to Europe.

"Viktor Orbán thinks there is no war. I think there is a war. The real question is not whether there is a war or not. The real question is: in this war, whose side are you on? Because war is black and white," said Tusk.

He added that when there is a war like the one in Ukraine, the only question for politicians is whose side they are on.

"And we know whose side Poland is on, we know whose side NATO and Europe are on, and unfortunately, we probably know whose side Viktor Orbán is on," the Polish Prime Minister emphasized.

The summit host, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, stressed that "it must be clear to everyone now: Russia will not stop until they are forced to do so".

She also added that this country poses a threat not only to Ukraine but to everyone.

"I know that for some of you, the threat from Russia is very clear and very present. For others, it still seems further away, but none of us can no longer be naive. The war was never just about Ukraine. It is about Europe," Frederiksen concluded.

Orbán refused to recognize Moscow as a threat to Europe, claiming that the EU is stronger than Russia, and that the real danger is an "economic stagnation."

Just a few days ago, Viktor Orbán also said that Russia had already won the war against Ukraine, but that it remained weak militarily and economically.
