European Union ambassadors will meet on Wednesday, November 27, to discuss the 15th sanctions package against Russia. Specifically, restrictions are planned against Russia's shadow fleet, according to Reuters.

Sources of the publication clarify that, in addition to sanctions against the shadow fleet, the document is expected to include restrictions on Chinese companies involved in producing drones for Russian forces.

The sanctions list will expand to include a total of 29 legal entities and 54 individuals. Currently, it includes over 2,200 individuals and entities.

Journalists report that no significant disagreement is expected regarding the new sanctions package.

Reuters specifies that 48 tankers used by Russia to bypass the G7's oil price cap could be included in the sanctions.

Sanctions against the shadow fleet

Yesterday, on November 25, it became known that the UK imposed its largest sanctions package targeting Russia's shadow fleet.

The sanctions affect 30 tankers involved in transporting Russian oil. Half of these vessels have carried oil and products worth up to $4.3 billion over the past year.
