This week, the Energy Ramstein meeting will take place in France, where international partners will consolidate international aid to restore Ukraine's critical infrastructure, reports President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"There was a separate report by Ukraine's Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal on preparations for meetings in the format of Energy Ramstein this week in France," Zelenskyy said.
According to him, the states of the Group of Seven, partners from Northern Europe and the Baltic region, as well as ministers from the United States, Canada, and the European Union, will be represented at the meeting.
"We identified specific things we need, and the minister will focus precisely on such energy support packages. On the sidelines of the conference in Munich, we spoke with some partners specifically about energy, and in the coming days, existing agreements must be implemented," the President of Ukraine added.
What is known about Energy Ramstein
In January, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha reported that Ukraine is convening a meeting of the Energy Ramstein amid a difficult electricity situation due to Russian strikes and severe cold.
Previously, it was reported that the Energy Ramstein meeting would be held in an online format. From Ukraine, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal will take part in it. At it, Ukraine expects to receive from allies additional contributions and concrete commitments regarding the restoration of energy infrastructure.
