Emergency blackouts hit Kyiv following drone strike on residential areas

Kyiv is under a massive attack by Russian kamikaze drones tonight, June 6. Amid the strikes on the city’s left bank, emergency power outages are possible, but energy workers have already begun promptly restoring the damage, reports Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration.
"On the left bank, emergency power outages are possible in some neighborhoods. The attack is ongoing. We're in contact with district heads and will do everything possible to minimize the impact," Tkachenko said.
Attack on the Capital, June 6
Last night, Russia launched a massive assault on Kyiv using Shahed drones coming from multiple directions. Debris falls and fires have been reported in several districts across the city.
According to Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko and the Kyiv City Military Administration, there has been damage to high-rise buildings and civilian infrastructure. Additionally, several open areas in the Darnytskyi district have been hit by falling debris.

On the night of June 5–6, Russian forces launched strike drones and missiles at multiple locations across Ukraine. Local media reported air defense operations targeting the drones over Kyiv and the Odesa region, and explosions were also heard near the outskirts of Poltava.
