Easter ceasefire
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed an Easter ceasefire about a week ago. However, the Kremlin did not give a clear response.
However, on April 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a ceasefire from 4:00 PM on April 11 until the end of April 12.
That same evening, Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine was ready to mirror any ceasefire steps announced by Russia. The president has also repeatedly called for extending the ceasefire beyond Easter.
