Duda reveals total value of military aid Poland provided to Ukraine
Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, Poland has provided Ukraine with military assistance worth about $3 billion, stated Polish President Andrzej Duda.
According to Duda, the total cost of assistance to Ukraine - military, humanitarian and other - is 3.3% of Poland's gross domestic product, about 100 billion zlotys (about $25 billion).
“These are really huge amounts. 12 billion zlotys ($3 billion - ed.) in military aid alone, so we have indeed given a lot to Ukraine, given our capabilities,” the Polish President added.
He also said that Poland had provided Ukraine with almost 400 tanks, including T-72, PT-91 Twardy, and Leopard. In total, Poland transferred over a thousand pieces of heavy equipment to Ukrainian defenders.
Duda reminded that Ukraine received Rosomak wheeled armored personnel carriers, Krab howitzers, as well as 10 MiG-29 fighters and 10 helicopters from Poland.
