Duda may meet Trump during his visit to New York
Polish President Andrzej Duda may meet with former US leader Donald Trump during his visit to New York this week, as reported by The Guardian.
As reported by the media, Duda was one of Trump's desired international partners during his presidency. The chief aide to the President of Poland stated that they still keep in touch.
“If there is such a possibility because it also depends on the schedule, I will also meet socially with … Donald Trump,” Duda told reporters before boarding the plane.
It is also reported that an informal meeting may take place during the visit to New York, during which Duda is scheduled to meet with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
Orban's meeting with Trump
Orban recently announced that he had met with Trump in Florida. After the meeting, the Hungarian prime minister published a complimentary post on social media platform X, where he said that the world needs leaders who "can bring peace".
"Come back and bring us peace, Mr. President," Orban wrote.
This meeting was criticized by US President Joe Biden. His criticism was directed primarily at Trump, as he met with a European leader who aspires to dictatorship.
