Moscow came under a drone attack overnight on July 10. Due to the threat, Domodedovo Airport temporarily suspended operations, Russian media reported.
Judging by posts from Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, the attack began at around 10:13 p.m. At that time, Sobyanin reported that air defense forces had destroyed one drone heading toward Moscow.
An hour later, at 11:15 p.m., he reported that another drone heading for the capital had been destroyed.
The attack has now been ongoing for more than three hours. According to Sobyanin, air defense forces have so far shot down a total of six drones.
It is also known that due to the attack threat, Moscow's Domodedovo Airport temporarily suspended arriving and departing flights.
According to Russian Telegram channels, Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg also stopped accepting and departing flights.
Ukrainian drones have repeatedly reached Moscow and struck important facilities there. In June, Ukraine attacked the Moscow Oil Refinery in the Kapotnya district twice — the first strike was carried out on June 16, and the second on the night of June 18. After that, the Moscow refinery is unlikely to resume operations before the end of 2026.
On July 7, Moscow was already subjected to a massive drone attack, during which air defense systems were active in the city for several hours.
At the NATO summit held in Ankara, Türkiye, on July 8, Zelenskyy responded sarcastically to Trump's question about whether he would travel to Moscow for peace talks, with the Ukrainian president saying that it would be difficult because Ukrainian drones are flying there.
