Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded with sarcasm when US President Donald Trump asked whether he would travel to Moscow for peace talks.
While speaking with reporters, the US President asked Zelenskyy whether he planned to travel to Moscow.
"It's difficult. There are a lot of Ukrainian drones there. That's dangerous. Maybe Europe," Zelenskyy said.
Russia's controversial proposal
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has repeatedly proposed a face-to-face meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in an effort to move closer to ending the war.
The Ukrainian leader even published an open letter to the Kremlin chief proposing such a meeting.
In response, Putin said he saw no point in holding talks, claiming that Ukraine was seeking a meeting only to stop Russia's offensive.
The Kremlin also said that if Zelenskyy wanted a meeting, he should come to Moscow.
Zelenskyy rejected the idea, saying he does "not play such games" and insisting that any meeting should take place in a neutral country.
