Drones strike Russia's Belgorod region: Part of town lose electricity

A large fire broke out at the Vokzalnyi shopping center in the town of Korochа, Belgorod region, Russia. The town was attacked by unidentified drones, according to Belgorod Governor Gennady Gladkov and Russian media.
According to residents, unknown drones struck the town. Residents said they even heard the sound of a drone being shot down over Korochа.
The governor reported that one of the strikes set fire to the roof of the commercial building. Emergency services are currently working to extinguish the fire.
Another strike damaged residential buildings, breaking windows in four apartments of a multi-story building.
Additionally, parts of the town and nearby settlements Pogorelovka and Podkopayevka were temporarily left without electricity. No casualties have been reported so far. Emergency services are on site, and the full extent of the damage is being assessed.
Blackouts in Belgorod
Belgorod is one of the Russian cities closest to the Ukrainian border and has regularly been affected in response to Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
On October 5, Russian authorities reported a missile strike on the Luch substation in Belgorod, causing a fire and leaving much of the city without power.
By the night of October 6, the regional governor said about 40,000 residents were without electricity. Later that same day, another strike caused a new blackout in the city.
On October 11, Belgorod suffered another missile attack. The Luch thermal power plant was hit, resulting in power outages across most districts. Two days later, on October 13, the city was attacked again, reportedly destroying turbines at the local TPP and completely shutting it down.
