Drones spotted in Danish airspace, airport closed – Reuters

Aalborg airport in northern Denmark was closed due to drones spotted in its airspace, according to Reuters and the North Jutland police on X.
The first reports of unidentified drones over Aalborg airport appeared around midnight.
North Jutland police posted on X that drones had been spotted near the airport, leading to the closure of the airspace. They added that officers were on the scene investigating.
An airport spokesperson confirmed to Reuters that Aalborg airport was currently closed due to drones in its airspace, but declined to comment on the number of drones. He noted that arrival and departure times had been adjusted for four flights, including two SAS planes, one Norwegian, and one KLM.
Drones over Europe
Just two days earlier, on the evening of September 22, several unidentified drones violated Danish airspace, forcing Copenhagen airport to halt operations for nearly four hours. The next morning, the drones left the area on their own, and flights resumed. Police later reported that the drones had been operated by a "competent operator."
The following night, September 23, Oslo’s Gardermoen airport in Norway also suspended operations due to drone sightings.
Danish authorities have not ruled out a Russian link to the drone incidents, noting that Russian UAVs recently entered Polish and Romanian airspace.
