Drones detected in Denmark and Norway, airport closed and arrests made

On Monday evening, September 22, unidentified drones were detected in Denmark and Norway. In Copenhagen, the airport was closed, and in Oslo, people were arrested, Reuters and Aftonbladet report.
First reports emerged of unidentified drones in Denmark. In particular, police stated that all movements at Copenhagen Airport in the capital have been halted following the discovery of uncrewed aerial vehicles.
"(Airport — ed.) is currently closed for take-off and landing, as 2-3 large drones have been seen flying in the area. The time horizon is currently unknown," the police statement said.
According to Flightradar, all take-offs and landings at Copenhagen Airport were suspended at 20:26 local time. It said at least 15 flights were diverted to other airports.
At the same time, an airport representative confirmed to Reuters that all traffic has been stopped. However, he declined to comment further.
A little later, Aftonbladet reported an incident in Norway. Shortly after 21:00, an alarm sounded there over drones above a military area — Akershus fortress in Oslo.
According to Eivind Hammersvold, the head of operations, it was the military that detected the drones. Two people from Singapore were detained in connection with the incident.
Russian drones over NATO countries
On the night of September 10, Russians launched a massive attack on Ukraine, and during that attack, about 20 drones entered Polish territory. In response, the country scrambled aircraft and for the first time shot down hostile objects over its territory.
In addition, on August 13, Russians then attempted to attack Ukraine with drones. At that time, one drone entered Romanian territory and flew there for about 50 minutes.
After the incidents, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy suggested that Poland and Romania shoot down Russian drones over Ukrainian territory.
