Russian forces attacked the territory of Ukraine overnight with drones of various types from six directions. The Air Force shot down most of the enemy targets, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
''On the night of January 26 (from 18:00 on January 25), the enemy attacked with 138 strike UAVs of the Shahed type, Gerbera, and drones of other types from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk of Russia, and the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk. About 90 of them were Shaheds,'' the Air Force said.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare, and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defense shot down or suppressed 110 enemy Shahed-type UAVs, Gerbera drones, and drones of other types in the north and east of the country.
At the same time, hits by 21 strike UAVs were recorded at 11 locations, as well as the fall of downed drones at one location.
''The attack is ongoing; there are several enemy UAVs in the airspace. Follow safety rules,'' the Air Force added.
Night attack on Ukraine on January 26
Tonight, on January 26, Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia. A fire was recorded at the site of the enemy attack, but fortunately there were no casualties.
In total, on the night of January 26, the Russians carried out two attacks on Zaporizhzhia. After the second attack, a fire broke out in the city again, and damaged buildings were also reported.
In addition, the enemy carried out an attack on the city of Volniansk in the Zaporizhzhia region that night. As a result of the enemy attack, a fire broke out, and residential buildings were damaged.
