Drones attack Russia's Kaluga, explosion reported at oil depot
An explosion occurred in the town of Lyudinovo in Kaluga region, Russia, early on November 16 due to an airstrike. The settlement is home to the Kaluganefteprodukt oil depot, which has previously been targeted in drone strikes, according to Kaluga Governor Vladislav Shapsha.
The Russian official stated that the explosion occurred on the outskirts of Lyudinovo. He also claimed that no significant damage to infrastructure was caused and that no casualties were reported.
According to the Kaluga governor, the explosion allegedly caused damage to windows in several residential buildings and some cars.
"An operational group is working at the site," the official added.
The Russian official did not mention the possible target of the airstrike involving drones, nor did he refer to the local oil depot in Lyudinovo in his statement.
As a reminder, this facility has already been targeted in at least two drone strikes earlier this year.
