Russian Defense Ministry again claims 'repelled' attack. Drones noticed near oil depot in Kaluga region
The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed to have repelled a drone attack on the night of April 27. However, in the Kaluga region, it is stated that the drones fell near an oil depot, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense in Telegram and the governor of the Kaluga region, Vladislav Shapshu, in Telegram.
The Russian Ministry of Defense, led by Sergey Shoigu, claimed that overnight they allegedly "shot down" and "intercepted" 17 drones. According to the Russians, nine drones were destroyed in the Bryansk region, three in Kursk, three in Kaluga, and two in Belgorod.
The Governor of the Kaluga region also stated that drones allegedly attempted to attack the region. He asserts that supposedly three drones fell near an oil depot in the city of Lyudinovo.
"There are no casualties or damage. Verification measures are being carried out," wrote the Russian official.
Explosions in Russia on April 27
Last night, explosions were heard in the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation. Reports online indicated a fire at an oil refinery.
Sources from RBC-Ukraine have reported that the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) attacked two oil refineries in the Kuban region - the Ilsky and Slavyansk. Previously, they had been targeted by Ukrainian forces.
Additionally, the SSU, along with the Defense Forces, launched drone attacks on the military airfield Kushchevsk in the Krasnodar Krai. Russian aircraft, radars, and electronic warfare systems were stationed there.
