Drones, armored personnel carriers, and more: Germany delivers new batch of aid to Ukraine
Germany today, February 16, updated the list of military aid supplied to Ukraine. Berlin has delivered dozens of new drones to Kyiv, according to the German government's page.
It is noted that Ukraine has received 18 armored personnel carriers from Germany, but their model is not specified on the website.
Other items included in the aid list are:
- 3 WiSENT 1 MC mine clearance vehicles
- 1 engineering tank Dachs
- 10 UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) Vector
- 30 UAVs RQ-35 Heidrun
- 11 UAVs Primoco ONE
- 7 UAVs Songbird
- 9 mine-clearing trawls
- 4 vehicles for border guards
- 3,990 155mm shells
- 500 flashlights and computer equipment.
The deliveries are made from industrial warehouses and are financed by German funds to strengthen security capabilities.
Some deliveries require modernization or are still in production. Training activities are also being conducted.
Future aid plans include:
- 2 SKYNEX air defense systems with ammunition
- IRIS-T SLM/SLS missiles
- 18 wheeled howitzers RCH 155
- 18 self-propelled howitzers PzH 2000
- Over 120,000 122mm artillery ammunition
- 9 engineering tanks
- 40 reconnaissance drones VECTOR.
Visit of Zelenskyy to Germany
As previously announced by the Office of the President, today, February 16, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will visit Germany and France for negotiations with the Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz and the President of France Emmanuel Macron.
Today it became known that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz have signed a security cooperation agreement.
Zelenskyy has added that the agreement signed today between Ukraine and Germany on security guarantees has become the most powerful document.
