Drone debris fell in residential yard in Kyiv, setting cars on fire after Russian attack

Russian forces attacked Kyiv with drones on the night of November 8. In the Pecherskyi district, debris from a downed UAV fell in the courtyard of a residential building, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko and Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Tymur Tkachenko.
"In the Pecherskyi district, preliminary reports indicate debris fell in the courtyard of a residential building. All emergency services are on their way. Stay in shelters!" wrote Vitali Klitschko.
Tymur Tkachenko reported that a fire broke out in the Pecherskyi district as a result of the Russian attack.
He later clarified that two locations in the district saw vehicles catch fire.
"Information on casualties is being verified," he added.
Earlier, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration confirmed that air defense systems were active over the capital.
At 3:50 AM Kyiv time, Kyiv declared its third air raid alert of the night.
The previous alerts were announced around 11:30 PM and 12:50 AM Kyiv time, each lasting roughly an hour.
Attack on Dnipro
Dnipro and several areas of the region also came under attack on the night of November 8.
In Dnipro, a drone strike damaged an apartment building, destroying several units and sparking a fire. According to preliminary data, seven people were injured, including two children aged 2 and 13.
Additionally, a private house caught fire in the Samarskyi district, and loud explosions were reported in Pavlohrad, where a local shop was damaged. Infrastructure damage was also recorded in the Synelnykove district.
Strikes on Kharkiv
In the suburbs of Kharkiv, a series of explosions occurred overnight, according to residents on social media.
Later, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov clarified that the explosions heard in the city actually took place outside the urban area.
