Drone Coalition allocates €20 million for drones purchase for Ukraine

The Drone Coalition has allocated 20 million euros for the purchase of drones for Ukraine. Delivery of the equipment is expected soon, according to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The Drone Coalition has allocated 20 million euros for the purchase of tactical reconnaissance UAVs (ISR) for the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The first deliveries are expected to take place over the next three months.
These drones will significantly increase the effectiveness of intelligence, allowing the Ukrainian military to more accurately assess the situation on the battlefield and monitor areas under enemy control.
Reconnaissance drones
These are specialized drones used to gather intelligence. They are equipped with high-tech sensors, cameras, and other surveillance equipment that allow them to monitor the area, detect enemy objects and movements, and take aerial photos and video in real-time.
Such drones are used in various military operations to increase situational awareness, adjust artillery strikes, plan strategic operations, and protect important facilities.
Reconnaissance UAVs provide rapid data on enemy positions, which allows the military to make more informed decisions on the battlefield and reduce risks to personnel.
Drone Coalition
Ukraine's allies have formed the Drone Coalition, which aims to supply unmanned aerial vehicles to defend against Russian aggression. Almost 20 countries have joined the initiative.
Latvia and the United Kingdom are the main coordinators of the coalition. Latvia provides training grounds and facilities for testing drones, which allows for continuous improvement of technology.
The UK has announced a tender for the development and procurement of first-person view (FPV) drones, which received 265 applications.
Coalition member countries have created a joint fund to purchase drones for the Ukrainian military.
