Russia suffered another attack by unknown drones on the night of May 25. In particular, authorities were forced to block the exit from Yaroslavl towards Moscow, according to Russian Telegram channels.

Tonight, monitoring channels reported that about 340 unknown drones were allegedly flying toward Russian territory, but no other details were given.

Later, at 02:39, the governor of the Yaroslavl region, Mikhail Yevrayev, reported on his social media that his region, including the regional centre, had come under drone attack. Against this backdrop, a decision was made to block the exit from Yaroslavl leading toward Moscow.

"In order to ensure safety, traffic has been blocked at the exit from Yaroslavl towards Moscow, from the intersection of Moskovsky Prospekt with the South-Western Ring Road. Refrain from travelling in this direction or its vicinity, or choose a route bypassing this section," the Telegram post reads.

In addition, Yevrayev called on Russians to wait for the all-clear signal regarding the drone threat.

As of 04:15, it remains unknown whether there are any consequences from the attack in Yaroslavl or in any other city or region.

Attacks on Russia

On May 22, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukrainian drones attacked an oil refinery in Yaroslavl overnight. This refers to the Novoyaroslavsky oil refinery — one of the five largest in Russia.

On May 19, the Yaroslavl region also came under attack. The governor said that the Slavneft-YANOS plant may have been hit.
