Belgorod region was allegedly attacked by a drone today, January 11. The strike was reportedly targeted at a power supply facility, reports Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of the Belgorod region.

According to his statement, the drone allegedly attacked the village of Tyshanka in the Volokonovsky district of the Belgorod region.

"An infrastructure object for power supply has been damaged, and about 50 households are temporarily left without electricity," the official from the aggressor country adds.

He clarifies that operational and emergency services have not yet started eliminating the consequences as they are coordinating with the Ministry of Defense.

Explosions in the Belgorod region

Explosions have been occurring more frequently in the Belgorod region lately. Russians complain about missile strikes and drone attacks.

In particular, residents of the Belgorod region heard explosions on the evening of January 8. Videos of air defense systems in action were posted online at that time.

Explosions in Belgorod were also heard on December 30. Russian media reported an attack on the city.

After these incidents, sources informed RBC-Ukraine that Ukrainian defenders targeted military facilities in the city.
